Amy L Wells

Biographical Information

Amy Wells dedicates her practice to helping Ohio consumers victimized by fraudulent, abusive and predatory business practices. She asserts claims on behalf of her clients in both state and federal court. With years of experience as a consumer advocate, Amy assists consumers who are the victims of credit reporting inaccuracies, debt collection harassment, and breach of warranty, among other legal issues. Amy is committed to aggressively fighting for justice in pursuit of a level playing field for our clients.

As Chair of the Consumer Protection Section of the Ohio Association for Justice, Amy actively pursues consumer-friendly legislation to protect Ohioans from unsrupulous business practices. Amy regularly speaks to a variety of audiences on a state and national basis regarding consumer protection issues.

PUBLISHED WORK

Amy's 2008 article The Price of Identity Theft for Ohio Consumers was published in Ohio Trial Magazine, Volume 18, Issue 1. In April 2009 her article Protecting Consumers from a "New Breed" of Debt Collector was published in the Dayton Bar Association's Bar Briefs magazine.

Amy has been invited to speak to attorneys and consumers on the state and national level regarding consumer advocacy issue. Recent presentations include:
