Rensselaer County Public Defender Jerome Frost says he was somewhat surprised Friday after the jury returned a guilty verdict in the murder case against Adrian Thomas, the Troy prosecutors claimed murdered his 4-month-old son by throwing the boy down onto a mattress on three separate occasions last September.
